As it’s #worldbookday I’m sharing my top 5 favourite books. (4 physical copies and one audiobook) In no order my favourite books are; 1. The One by John marrs #theone @johnmarrs.author #johnmarrs . I first listened to the audiobook of this in 2017 and it such a great concept and I haven’t read anything similar to it before. ‘A quick DNA test to find your perfect partner, the one you are genetically made for. A decade after scientists discover everyone has a gene they share with just one other person. Millions have taken the test desperate to find true love’. 2. Shutter island by Dennis Lehane #shutterisland #dennislehane. I read this back in 2015 at university. One of the first psychological thrillers I’ve ever read. I simply love it. ‘US marshal Teddy Daniels has come to shutter island home for the criminally insane to find an escaped murdered named Rachel Solando. How has the barefoot woman escaped a locked room ? And who is leaving them clues?’. 3. Noughts and Crosses by Malorie black #noughtsandcrosses #malorieblackman @malorie_blackman this book really resinates with me , it’s a story of love and race. 'In their hostile violent world noughts and crosses simply don’t mix. But when Steph and Callum’s childhood friendship grows into passionate love, they’re determined to find a way to be together’. 4. Marked by P.C and Kristen Cast #marked #pccast #kristencast I read this when I was about 13 and as soon as I finished this first book in the #houseofnightseries. I went about the next 4 and since then bought every one in hardback. 'When sixteen year old zoey is marked by the tracker, she knows her old life is over. Now she has to leave her friends and family and join the house of night school. Where there’s only one subject Zoey needs to study. Vampyre 101’. 5. He Said She Said by Erin Kelly #hesaidshesaid #erinkelly. I listened to this in 2017 as well and was blown away, it’s told in two perspectives and having two voice actors reading the chapters made it really come to life. 'In the hushed after an of a total eclipse, Laura witnesses a brutal attack. She and her boyfriend kit call the police. And in the moment, four lives change forever’.
